Quotes on Narcissism & The Narcissistic Personality Disorder

"Narcissists enjoy your pain. The more you show the narcissist your tears the more grandiose they will feel. If you really want to make the narcissist feel all powerful, simply let him break you." ~Tigress Luv

"Whether with a narcissist a week, a month, a year, a decade, or a half of a century, one thing is for sure...one day you will wake up to the revelation that it was all just a figment of your imagination." ~Tigress Luv

"The narcissist lives in his own, self-created parallel universe. In this world he is the Almighty Gatekeeper. To the unsuspecting and trusting, the narcissist can expertly charm them into this kingdom only to dethrone them in the blink of an eye, stripping them of their souls and casting their left-over, bleached bones to the demons of his hell. Tread lightly in his world as this feeding fuels his power and satisfies his ego-hungry cravings; the narcissist's ego is never satiated." ~Tigress Luv

"Ironically, if the narcissist sees that you don't love him anymore he will then be intent on making you hate him. Either way, he will feel powerful in his complete control over you. The one thing that narcissists can't stand is apathy - towards him." ~Tigress Luv

"Forget the food, the way to a narcissist's heart is with your tears; narcissist feed on your pain." ~Tigress Luv

The Narcissist Has a Headache

Article by Tigress Luv, The Breakup Guru and brought to you by The Counterfeit Heart: Living With, Loving and Leaving the Narcissistic Man

Narcissists are experts at the 'mood swing' to get out of a situation that is not catering to his longing for stardom. Most narcissists only feel comfortable in situations or in experiences where they are the star and where they will come out on top. Most often, these situations are only found in their 'territory'. Bring a narcissist to a place where he doesn't have the 'followers', or where he may come up less 'favorably' than others around him, and he will pull the 'mood swing'.

His demeanor will suddenly change and excuses will expound from his lips like a broken oil rig spews oil. He will suddenly have a headache, feel dizzy, realize he's tired and has to get up early...whatever it will take to remove him from the uncomfortable position of not being the star or the powerful magic man who can charm the crowds.

Along with his obvious discomfort, you will notice that the narcissist can be very judgmental and insulting to those that he feels may be 'better' than him. This could mean anyone he feels may have more talent, more friends, a better job, a nicer home, a faster car, or even better looks. This is his way of making sure his ego isn't damaged by unfavorable comparison of the other whom he feels threatened by.

My narcissistic ex would use any excuse he could to avoid blame for any wrongdoing, too. This is because a narcissist never gives himself the right to be wrong. If he was caught doing something wrong it was because of 'this' or because of 'that'. He, himself, never ever took direct personal responsibility for anything negative.

Yes, narcissist are masters at pointing the finger and dumping the blame on anything and anyone outside of themselves.

Remember that it isn't you, your friends, your car, your job, or your success that is blemished (like the narcissist would have you believe) but rather the narcissist's inability to accept the fact that something or someone else may outshine him.
